Can I resell a track?
You cannot resell a track purchased from House of Tracks to other producers, ghost production platforms, or as a remix pack. Reselling a track in this way is strictly prohibited and can lead to legal consequences. The rights you acquire are for releasing and promoting the track as your own, not for transferring or reselling ownership to third parties.
Reselling vs. releasing a track
Reselling means offering the track for sale again to other producers or platforms. This is not allowed under House of Tracks policy. Originality and rights protection are central to our marketplace, and unauthorized resale undermines both the producer and buyer community.
Releasing a track means distributing it on music stores like Beatport, streaming platforms, or using it in your DJ sets. This is permitted and is the intended use when you purchase an exclusive track from House of Tracks.
Why reselling is not allowed
- Protects the original producer’s rights and creative work
- Maintains exclusivity for buyers
- Prevents legal risks for all parties
What you can do after purchase
- Release the track under your artist name
- Promote it on streaming platforms and music stores
- Use it in DJ sets, radio shows, or live performances
