Dubstep is a genre within electronic dance music (EDM) characterized by its distinctive bass lines and above average tempo, typically around 140 bpm. Dubstep is closely related to grime and its bass lines, often referred to as reese bass or wobble bass, are heavily influenced by drum & bass. Dubstep production music has become very popular in the United Kingdom and Europe. To define Dubstep, it is best described for fast paced electronic music with sharp and present bass sounds as well as its accent on the third count.
