Can I delete tracks from my label?

Getting your label in the Top 10 labels will depend on a similar mechanic used by many other playlists in the music industry. Time + Sales = a place in our Top 10.

When you want to start selling your tracks on our platform, you first have to create a label. The label you create is not an official record label, it’s a virtual label. It is the name for your account on which customers can find your tracks. Please be aware that you cannot use a name of a famous artist/label (or a sound-a-like) or VST/FX or companies.

It is not allowed to work with multiple producers on a single label. This is due to the fact that the “label owner” is the one ultimately responsible for all content offered by the label.

In case there are any issue(s) with the content offered by the label, we would have to strike the whole label. All content of the label will be put offline until the issue(s) have been resolved.

In the rare event the issue(s) can’t be fixed, we will ban the label from our platform indefinitely. If multiple producers were to work on one label, this could obviously create an undesirable situation for a producer working on a label who has nothing to do with the issue(s) leading to the ban.

When uploading a track, a simple mp3 of the track won’t suffice. We will need a total of 3 folders; a master folder, stem folder and a MIDI folder. We also need a preview of the track which should be an mp3 version of the full track.

The master folder should contain the mix down and mastered version of a track. If a vocal is used in the track, you should also add a mastered instrumental version and an instrumental mix down.

The stem folder should contain all individual elements of the track in separate stems. These need to be delivered in WAV format.

The MIDI folder should contain MIDI files of all important melodic elements.

A good way to make your label stand out is to upload high-quality artwork. All artwork should be uploaded in jpeg at a resolution of 320x320 pixels.

Artwork allows you to make your label easier to be recognised by the potential buyers, as well as leaving a lasting impression which could positively benefit your sales.

You can’t use all samples, even if they are royalty-free. The only samples you can use are; one-shots and top-loops as long as they are royalty-free.

When using top loops you do need to make sure you only use them to enhance your main drums. All melodic elements of a track should be composed by the producer. So it’s also strictly prohibited to use midi packs.

All tracks you want to upload to our platform should be 100% unique. This means you can’t upload remixes or use samples taken from existing tracks.

Tracks uploaded to House of Tracks should also be fully exclusive to the platform. This means that once a track has been online or played in front of a venue the track will be no longer eligible to sell on House of Tracks.

Violations of these rules will lead to a permanent ban from our platform.

No, you cannot sell other people's tracks. Every track you upload should be made by you.
