Do producers own masters?

Producers do own master ownership when producing a track.  However this master ownership can be transferred. The master ownership is transferred once the producer fees have been paid. In some occasions producers can keep a part of the master ownership in the form of co-ownership. In most situations you’d want to have master ownership of the tracks you use.
