Where does splice save to?
Splice saves your downloaded samples, presets and project files to a default folder on your computer, making it easy to access and organize your production assets. By default, Splice creates a "Splice" folder in your user directory, but you can customize this location in the Splice app settings.
Default Splice folder location
On Windows, Splice usually saves files to C:\Users\[YourName]\Splice. On macOS, the default is /Users/[YourName]/Splice. All samples, presets and project files you sync or download from Splice will appear in this folder unless you change the path.
How to change your Splice save location
To set a custom folder, open the Splice desktop app, go to Preferences or Settings, and update the "Content Folder" path. This lets you keep your Splice library on an external drive or a specific project folder, which is useful for producers managing large sample collections or collaborating across devices.
Organizing your Splice files
Inside the main Splice folder, you'll find subfolders for Sounds (samples), Presets (for synths like Serum or Massive), and Projects. Keeping these organized helps you quickly drag and drop assets into your DAW, streamlining your workflow for beatmaking, arrangement and mixing.
Troubleshooting Splice file locations
If you can't find your Splice files, check the app's folder path in settings. For missing presets or samples, resync your library or use the search function in your operating system. For more on Splice presets, see Where can I find splice presets?.
