Do I get the project file?
When you buy a track on House of Tracks, you do not receive the original project file. Instead, your purchase includes all essential stems and MIDI files, giving you the flexibility to edit, remix, or adapt the track to your own style without DAW compatibility issues.
Why project files are not provided
- DAW and plugin compatibility: Producers use different DAWs and VSTs, making project files difficult to share or open reliably across setups. This avoids technical problems for buyers.
- Producer techniques: Many producers prefer to keep their unique production methods private. Sharing a project file would reveal their workflow, sound design, and arrangement tricks.
What you get with your purchase
- Full stems (individual audio tracks for each element)
- MIDI files for melodic and rhythmic parts
- High-quality, ready-to-use audio for release or further production
This setup ensures you can personalize the track, adjust arrangements, or add your own touches, all without needing the original DAW session. For more on DAWs and compatibility, see our Digital Audio Workstation - DAW page.
