The difference between Future Bass and Future House are two types of house music. Despite the similarity in their names, they're quite different in their soundscapes. Future Bass is structural melodic house music with a specific set of sounds. It's much more introspective than the rather energetic Bass House it's often confused with.

Future House is een side branche of deep house. Future house has closed in on the mainstream. DJ’s like Oliver Heldens, Tchami, Mr. Belt & Wezol and Don Diablo have discovered the genre. De differences with deep house are not that big, e.g. the BPM is generally the same, in between 120-130 BPM. Yet, there are still some essential differences. As the name implies: deep house is much deeper than future house. The basslines are lower and slower. Future house is more uptempo and often has a sunny rhythm that makes you happy.

​While both genres are variants of dance music, Future House, a subgenre of House music, has a slower tempo and doesn't usually have major bass drops like mainstream House music. It also tends to have acoustic parts in it, which leads to another subgenre called Tropical House. Future House does have drops and the songs are more 'bouncy' but they sound closer to Deep House, which is a subgenre of House music that originated in the 1980s and is characterized by its use of complex melodies and soulful vocals.

Future House generally has a slower tempo than Future Bounce, and the sound is generally less intense. Future Bounce often features a more pronounced "bounce" or rhythm.
