Buyers: Are vocals in tracks always unique?
On a regular basis House of Tracks answers customer questions to help buyers and sellers on their way.
This week a question of one of our buyers: are vocals in tracks always unique?
The answer to this question is simple: no, they're not.
When you hear a voice in the productions you buy, you may assume that 75% of these originate from a sample pack (100% legal) and are most likely not one-of-a-kind. This is very standard in the music industry. If you were to look at major music stores you'd find heaps of tracks that use the same vocals as each other.
If you aren't keen on having royalty-free vocals from a sample pack in your track the solution is fairly easy. Every track that uses vocals come with an instrumental version. This way you can easily use your own vocals on the track.
