How long does it take before my track goes online?

These are the 5 possible questions that will be answered in the next article

How long does it take to check my tracks?
My track has been disapproved. What is wrong?
My track has been approved. Why isn’t it online yet?
I’ve uploaded 10 tracks. Why aren’t they online all at once?
Why are there two tracks by one label posted right after each other?

We regularly get questions from our producers. One of them is: how long does it take before my track goes online? So, you are a ghost producer and you’ve created a banger of a track. Immediately you go to our ghost production platform and upload the track. You are aware that the track has to be checked first. But how long does this process take?

How long does it take until my track is checked?

The uploaded track will be checked in max 3 days. Every track is checked with the utmost respect and care. We use advanced fingerprinting techniques and professional ears to check your music. After your track has been checked, there are two scenarios. Either your track is approved or your track is disapproved.

Your track has been disapproved

In case your track is disapproved, you’ll receive an email with the reasons for disapproval. In many cases, you can fix the issues and re-upload the packs that were not in the right condition.

Your track has been approved

If your track is approved, your heart will, of course, be filled with joy! Excited you rush to our site and check if your track is already on the front page. Panic! You can’t find your track! In horror, you contact our customer support to see what had gone wrong.

What's wrong?

Luckily nothing is wrong. After a track has been approved, it’s completely normal that your track isn’t immediately visible. Why? Well, we give every producer the best chance of selling his or her music. Once a new track is uploaded on House of Tracks, the track is shown on the new arrival list. We would flood our site by directly uploading every approved track at once. That's why we work with this delay.

Uploading multiple tracks simultaneously

We also have labels wanting to upload 10 tracks at the same time. You’ll notice that we don’t check all tracks at once. There is a good reason for this. After extended research, we’ve noticed that if a label has 3 new tracks uploaded directly after each other, the sales will actually drop. That’s why we manually check and upload the tracks with some time in between.

Why are sometimes two tracks by one label uploaded right after each other?

So, you’re browsing our site and you see that two tracks by the same label are uploaded directly after each other. Does this mean that we were lying above? The short answer is: no. So why do you see two tracks by the same label uploaded after each other? This has to do with a label being new. In the case of a new label, we upload two tracks asap. From experience, we know that labels with a minimum of two tracks tend to sell better.
